Baby Jacquard Yarn closeup

Here’s a sneak peek of the yarn being used to design the first  Cranberry Ocean Knits patterns.

It’s Bernat’s Baby Jacquard yarn:

  • 100% acrylic
  • easy care
  • excellent yardage (3.5 oz/100g gives 346yds/316m)
  • self-patterning

Locally it sells for under $5 and you will be able to knit 2 or 3 of these first patterns from 1 skein — thrifty indeed!

These brand new patterns will be available exclusively through Patternfish.com

within the next 2 or 3 days. I’ll post here as soon as they’re up and show you more details and pictures.

Update: We’re getting some of the finer details worked out for the internet sales and downloads and

should be up and running within a week! We’re keeping our fingers crossed — when we’re not knitting!

Today is the first day of the Cranberry Ocean Knitting Patterns blog.

We’re knitting and writing as fast as we can — check back soon :)

In the mean time, check out our sister site — PurpleSage Designs from South Mountain ~ Naturally — where you’ll find oodles of luscious knitting patterns using natural fibres and some blends.

  5. Hello
I bought one of your patterns – the baby helmet with ear flaps. Has anyone else had problems with the hat and shaping? I did, found it was way too long, didn’t shape right. What did I do wrong? Any suggestions are appreciated.
    Thanks
    Jane

    • Hi Jane, I haven’t heard of anyone else having that issue — my first guess is that your row gauge is different from the pattern and therefore it will increase the depth of the hat. I’m going to email you as well to make sure you get this reply and with a few other suggestions. Cheers, Luise
